The clock is ticking

As we sit here twiddling our thumbs and other body parts,,the 2011-2012 season looms large on the horizon. As fans when Theo bundled the ball under the fulham goalie over 6 weeks ago we swore we would never have to go through a season like that again.
But here we are in mid july and we seem to be stuck with the same fuckwits that caused us all to have seizures many times last year.
In Arsene we trust?,,he surely must have a plan but my humble brain would love to know what the hell it is.
in a survey of 100 make believe fans asking them what they would like to see at arsenal is an identikit of a centre half that would look something like Chris Samba
Well lo and behold Blackburn have a player that looks like Chris Samba,,and guess what he is called Chris"feckin" Samba.
All joking aside he would be the ideal player we need to (a)add to defence (b)add to our physical appearnce(c) to help at set pieces(d) to help at set pieces at the other end(e)to help fellow defenders throughout a season ...etc...
I would have thought getting him would be the easy bit,,,bedding him in would take a bit of time....which brings me to my original point "the clock is indeed ticking"
I have used Chris Samba as an example of a defender,,if i can see what we are missing surely our manager/coaches can..to me this should have the priority of our incoming transfers,,ie about 20 mins after walcott buried the ball at Craven cottage.
Im delighted we have signed GERVINIHO,,but reinforcements and a change in appearnce and tact at the back is more pressing.
Indeed "the clock is ticking" any new defender must be signed, brought up to speed ,fitness wise, and formation wise within a shorter period of time that originally envisaged(well by me anyway)
My point is that we could end up with what is known in the trade as "the squillachi syndrome"....whereas if you wait till the end of the sales for a new jacket,,you wont get the correct size or colour you want ,,sure it might keep you warm and be ok when it rains, but it might be defective and rip when you least expect it,,and sure what did you expect buying it from the bargain bin.
The moral of this story is when you need a jacket and you see something you like buy it,dont wait,it might be gone
Dear Arsene"the clock is ticking"
